Soda Stream

20th November 2010 | | News

During the month of November and December Matt will be promoting Soda stream. This is a great gift to get that person who is extremely hard to pick for! You can find Matt at the following stores:

  • Williams and Sonoma
  • Macy’s
  • Great Indoors
  • Sears
  • Bed Bath & Beyond
  • Crate & Barrel

Seriously Matt is not going to try and “sell” you the machine… He just loves what he promote’s! This machine is great because it cost a faction of what you would pay in the store for sodas, it is a lot healthier for you, and now you dont have to feel guilty about drinking a soda or letting your kids have one. Its healthier because soda stream’s sodas’ have 2/3 less sugar than regular sodas, are not made from high fructose corn syrup, are VERY low in sodium, all the diet drinks are made with splenda rather than aspartame, and it tastes just like a regular soda.

Now if after you have tried the soda and you are still a little skeptical let me tell you the machine pays for itself very quickly.  (Did I mention if you like pellegrino or perrier this machine can make it as well!?) When you purchase a 12pack in the store it usually cost about $5. When you purchase the soda stream’s syrup bottle it cost $4.99 and will make 12 liters or 33 cans. So basically for every 12pack you purchase you are getting 2 for free.

So who is this machine perfect for?

  • Wedding gift
  • Someone who has a wet bar
  • Diabetic
  • Someone who has high blood pressure
  • People who love soda!
  • Someone on a budget
  • People who entertain a lot

This machine is not just limited to making pellegrino, perrier, and soda. You can also make mixed drinks such as:

  • Gin and tonic (soda stream makes a tonic syrup)
  • Virgin Mimosa’s- Mix orange juice and soda water
  • Italian Soda’s
  • Wedding punch
  • The possibilities are endless!

Ms. Fizz’s blog latest soda recipe is for Harry Potter’s Butter Beer recipe. Seeing as how the movie is coming out it just fits that you take some butter beer with you while you watch the movie.

Potter fans will recognize Butterbeer as the ubiquitous beverage of choice for young wizards and witches, and will fondly remember Harry, Hermoine and Ron sipping on Butterbeers as they plan their next adventures. J. K. Rowling said in an interview with Bon Appétit that she imagines it “to taste a little bit like less-sickly butterscotch.”
